Socialist Studies/Études socialistes is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that focuses on social, economic and/or political injustice, and practices of struggle, transformation, and liberation. The Journal publishes articles, critical commentary, book reviews, research notes and special issues on a rolling basis.

The journal relaunched publication in 2005 and in Fall 2008 it became an online, open access e-journal. It is indexed in EBSCO Publishing, Left Index and the Wilson Social Sciences Full-text databases and is a member of the Canadian Association of Learned Journals (CALJ). The Journal charges no publication fees and authors retain copyright.
Editorial Collective
Since 2025, the editorial work of the Journal has been shared among a voluntary collective of committed scholar/activists.
