Thank-you to all the contributors, to the Political Science Department at the University of Toronto for allowing us to share the tributes from faculty members, to the Journal of Social Philosophy for permission to share Professor Carol Gould’s memories, to Professor Meg Holden, Simon Fraser University, for gathering all of the tributes, to Professor Sandra Rein for publishing support and to Maryka Omatsu for providing photos of Frank. Editing was done by Professor Elaine Coburn, York University, and the production by Sean Cain of Better World Communications.

We hope that this mixture of personal and professional remembrances serves to remind us of Frank’s qualities as a person and as a politically engaged intellectual. We invite those who did not know Frank’s scholarship to explore his writing through and beyond these contributions and include a bibliography to those ends.

GO TO JOURNAL

Socialist Studies/Études socialistes is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal with a focus on describing and analysing social, economic and/or political injustice, and practices of struggle, transformation, and liberation.

"...the content spans many subjects (and) much of the content will be of special interest to a Canadian scholarly audience. Libraries serving Canadian and socialist scholars should be knowledgeable about this title."

- Cheryl LaGuardia, Research Librarian, Widener Library, Harvard University (January 24, 2014).
